When to come straight to emergency

Some symptoms cannot wait for a consultation. Call or come at once.

Do not wait if you see

  • Chest pain or pressure, or sudden breathlessness
  • Face drooping, arm weakness or slurred speech
  • Severe bleeding, a serious injury or a burn
  • Seizure, fainting, or a child who is very drowsy or not responding
