Why keeping up with vaccines matters

Vaccines protect children from serious illnesses. Keeping to the schedule matters as much as starting it.

Stay on schedule

  • Keep your child's vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit.
  • If a dose was missed, ask a doctor how to catch up — it is rarely too late.
  • Mild fever or soreness after a vaccine is common and usually passes quickly.

See a doctor if you notice

  • High fever, a rash all over, or unusual crying after a vaccine
